TOPIC: THE LAWYER AND THE LITTLE BOY

BASIC SCRIPTURE: 1 John 2:1-6

A lawyer is trying to call his clients. The phone rings and a little boy, in a whisper, says “Hello”

Lawyer: “Is your mummy there?” Boy: (whispers) “Yes.”

Lawyer: “Can I speak to her?”

Boy: (whispers) “She is very busy.”

Lawyer: “Is your daddy there?”

Boy: (whispers) “Yes”

Lawyer: “Can I speak to him”

Boy: (whispers) “No, He’s very busy”

Lawyer: “Is there anyone else there?”

Boy: (whispers) “Yes, the fire department.”

Lawyer: (whispers) “No, They’re busy too.”

Lawyer: : Is there anybody ELSE there?”

Boy: (whispers) “The police department.”

Lawyer: “Well, can I talk to one of them?”

Boy: (whispers) “No, They’re busy too.”

Lawyer: “Let me get this straight, your mother, father, the fire department and the police department are all in your house, and they are all busy. What are they doing?” Boy: (whispers) “They are all looking for me.” Oh, so funny but the message is blunt! He was a naughty boy who caused his community heartache/pain! But the Holy Ghost is reminding you that: You are called to BLESS and not to STRESS the world around you! Yes! You must never be a PAIN CREATOR for others! Pay your debts! Be the first to apologise even if you are not wrong! Today’s scripture Vs. 6 says: “He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.” DESIRE TO BE LIKE THE LORD daily! He brought answers to questions He healed broken hearts and mended shattered lives That should be your goal! Live pure! Avoid things that will hurt others! As 2020 ends and 2021 begins, remember Katy Kauffman “The meek don’t give up their power to “win” in order to be godly; they give up using their power to harm.” Indeed, you are the Bible the world is reading, you are the creed world needs; you are the sermon the world is heeding! Be a little Jesus” wherever you go…(To be continued tomorrow).
